Srinagar: Braving bone chilling cold, thousands of devotees participated in the night-long prayers on Friday at the shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) popularly known as Dastgeer Sahib at Khanyar here.
The annual Urs of the revered saint is being observed with religious fervour and enthusiasm in Kashmir Valley.
Special prayers were held for peace and prosperity in the Muslim world especially in Jammu and Kashmir.
The relic of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) was also displayed for the devotees.
