Srinagar witnesses coldest night of season, may touch -5 degree Celsius, says weatherman

Srinagar: The night temperature is likely to touch -5 degree Celsius, the Meteorological Department said on Monday after Jammu and Kashmir’s summer capital Srinagar witnessed seasoned coldest night on Sunday, minus 4.2 degrees Celsius.

“Night temperature is likely to remain between-4 to -5,” an official at Meteorological department told INS.

“Weather condition will continue to remain cold and dry for few days,” he said.

Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Leh town and and Kargil shivered at minus -6.5 , -7.2, – 8 and -7.2 degrees Celsius respectively.
