Srinagar: Ten days after an avalanche hit the Baktore area of Gurez in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, the body of third soldier who missing was recovered on Wednesday.

The body of the soldier, who went missing along with two other soldiers after an avalanche hit their camp in Gurez sector of  Bandipora district  on December 11-12, was recovered  today by the search and rescue teams.

The soldier has been identified as rifleman Moorty.

The bodies of two other missing soldiers were recovered on Monday.

Five soldiers went missing – three in Gurez and two in Nowgam sector of Kupwara – along the line of control  on December 11-12 following heavy snowfall in Kashmir.
