Budgam: The local administration on Saturday placed under suspension eight officials of the Municipal Committee Chadoora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
“To ensure punctuality of employees in the government offices, SDM Chadoora, Shabir Ahmad today carried out surprise check of offices in Tehsil Chadoora,” an official spokesman said.
During the inspection, eight officials of the Municipal Committee Chadoora were found unauthorizedly absent from their duties, the spokesman said. “Taking strong note of this negligence the SDM on sport ordered the suspension of these officials.” He reiterated that drive against absenteeism in the offices will continue with more vigour in future as well, the spokesman added. .
