Sopore: Scores of Casual labours and Need Based Employees of Forest department of north Kashmir on Monday staged a protest against promotions granted  in the department to the blue eyed persons.

According to reports, scores of casual labour of Forest department of Northern region of Kashmir on Monday assembled at Conservator’s office and staged protest demonstration against government for not providing justice.

The protesting employees said we are working since 1996 and despite that we have been neglected for the promotion list.

They employees alleged that conservator has neglected us from the promotion list and those who are working since 2003 have been shortlisted.

The employees shouted slogans against Forest department and seeking justice from the authorities.

Meanwhile Conservator of Forest department north range M. M Rather told INS that none of list has been issued yet and those protesting casual labours are not in the list which has been submitted.

He however added that we are working to accommodate and to provide justice to them.
