Ganderbal: Legal Metrology department has intensified the process of inspecting and checking markets in various areas of Kangan in district Ganderbal on Wednesday.

Market checking was intensified under the supervision of SDM Kangan, Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and along with the police.

During the drive a sum of rupees 6800 was recovered as a fine from shopkeepers, besides huge amount of rotten vegetables, fruits and other food items were destroyed on spot.
