Anantnag: Several residential houses and shops were gutted in a devastating fire incident  in Reshi Bazaar locality in south Kashmir’s Anantnag town in the wee hours Monday,.

Fire erupted at around 3:30 am and engulfed adjacent shops and residential houses quickly.

“After nearly two hours of fire dousing struggle, it was brought under control. However by then nearly a dozen structures were damaged,” an official said.


“There were no casualties in the incident and amount of loss is being calculated. The cause of the fire is being investigated,” police official said
