Following the killing of a militant restrictions have been imposed in in parts of Kashmir capital Srinagar.

Reports said that concertina wires have been put in place at several locations to restrict the movement of the people.

Pertinent to mention is that a police officer and a militant were killed in Zakura area of Srinagar yesterday.

The slain Lashkar-e-Taiba militant hails from Parimpora HMT which rocked with protests on Friday night.

“To thwart further protests restrictions have been imposed in areas falling the jurisdiction of Police Station Parimpora, Safakadal, Nowhatta, Khanyar and Rainawari,” said a police official adding that partial restrictions are also in place in Maisuma and Kralkhud.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson from Board of School Education said that exams for Class 10th and 12th will be conducted as per schedule. He said that Roll Number slips of students will be treated as curfew passes.
