Srinagar: Former Chief Minister and National Conference president Omar Abdullah on Thursday questioned India’s Minister of State for Home, Hansraj Ahir for his statement that due to “mistakes of the previous governments that Pakistan continues to administer Kashmir.
“And in ‘previous governments’ do you include Vajpayee Sb’s (Atal Biahari Vajpayee’s) decision to respect sanctity of LoC during the Kargil War as well?” Omar, who was minister in NDA government headed by Vajpayee, wrote on twitter.
Earlier, Ahir had “condemned” the former 3-time chief minister and NC president Farooq Abdullah’s statement that Islamabad was not wearing bangles that New Delhi will take away Kashmir administered by Pakistan.
“I say (PaK) is a part of India & due to mistakes of the previous govt it has been with Pakistan. If we try to get (PaK) back no one can stop us because it is our right & we’ll make efforts to get it back,” said Ahir.
