Srinagar:  Hurriyat Conference led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Tuesday due to the rigid approach of Government of India, Kashmiri youth are turning in large numbers from a peaceful means of struggle to armed resistance.
“Due to the rigid and brutal approach of New Delhi, Kashmiri youth are turning in large numbers from a peaceful means of struggle to armed resistance and getting killed which is very sad and painful,” a spokesman of the Hurriyat Conference said as he paid rich tributes to two slain militants—Ashiq Hussain Bhat of Palhallan and Toib Majeed of Brath Kalan Sopore, who were killed in an encounter at Handwara.
The spokesman also condemned the wave of CASO in South and North Kashmir villages, terming it deliberate attempt by forces to instil fear among the local populace.
“During the CASOs, local population is being harassed and property vandalized, which is highly condemnable.”
Meanwhile, expressing deep sorrow and grief at the death and trail of destruction left behind by the deadly on Iran Iraq border chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that entire Kashmiri nation was deeply grieved at this tragedy. Expressing sympathy with the injured Mirwaiz prayed for their speedy recovery.
Mirwaiz strongly condemned the lynching of an innocent Muslim Umar Khan in Alwar in Rajasthan at the hands of fanatics. He said that the politics of hate and polarization is being deliberately promoted and promulgated for electoral dividends and Muslims across India made its target in a well-planned manner. Mirwaiz urged the world human rights organisations to take strong note of this “carnage” of Muslim under the garb of cow protection. He said that Indian leadership was duty bound to ensure the safety and security of Indian Muslims across the country.
