Move to restore greenery in Tourist place the  Sonamarg Development Authority(SDA) has started the preparatory work to plant different saplings in the Sonamarg in District Ganderbal.
The afforestation programme was started on the green destination due to the area lost thousands of trees during past years officials said.
The SDA has set a target to plant thousands of saplings before snowfall seasons in the area,if complete green cover is restored in area.
On the directions given by worthy chief executive officer SDA Shabir Ahmad Raina the department to plant saplings and try to restore greenery in Sonamarg said official.
