Demanding regularization, Daily wage employees begun hunger strike

Ganderbal: Daily wage, employees of Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation on Monday begun hunger strike at USHP kangan ganderbal, demanding regularisation of services.

JKSPDC, daily wage, employees had been protesting for a month to press government make their services permanent, failing which they Monday begun hunger strike in Central Kashmirs Ganderbal district.

“Authorities are not addressing our genuine issues and instead of listening to us they are are plsying a cruel joke with our lives with us” President JKSPDC daily wagers union Mr Ranjeet Singh.

According to Singh hundreds are daily wage employees have been rendering their services from years, believing that they would be regularized, however higher authorities’ ‘inhuman approach, callous attitude and lackadaisical working style is putting heavy burden on daily wagers’.

“Our Families are suffering,” Singh said.
District secretary Mohd Shafi said that we are working from 1994 in this department ‘but even after repeated pleas to authorities we have not been regularized till date.”
