Ban on crude boilers, microme coil, heating devices in District Srinagar

Srinagar: District Magistrate Srinagar has imposed a blanket ban on sale, purchase and transportation of crude boilers, microme coil and heating devices in Srinagar district.
The ban has been imposed aftera meeting witb Power Development Department of district Srinagar where, according to the ban order, it was pointed out that during winters crude boilers, microme coils etc are used , due to which there is unnecessary electricity loaf on the transformers.
“Due to heavy load the electrical transformers often get damaged and the general public suffers unnecessarily in harsh winter months,” the order reads.
The order further says that the ban has been imposed so that regular power supply to the consumer and to save the sub stations, electric transformers from any damage due to heavy load.
