Sopore: Police calls allegations of Vandalism, loot during CASO ‘baseless’

Sopore: Police Wednesday denied allegations of vandalism and loot by Villagerd during CASO in Bomai area of Sopore, calling them ‘baseless’.

SSP Sopore Harmeet Singh told INS that CASO was launched in the area after information of militant movement, however ‘no one was harassed’.

“The allegations levelled are baseless and no such thing like harassment etc happened,” Singh said.

The CASO was a joint operation by 22 RR sopore, 179 Batalion CRPF , SOG sopore and sopore police.

Villagers had accused forces of vandalism, loot and harrassment during anti militancy operation.
