Srinagar: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has condemned the killing of a BJP activist of Bongam Shopian, Gowher Ahmad Bhat.
The Chief Minister has expressed condolences with the bereaved family. She has appealed all sections of society to come forward to end this cycle of violence in the State.
Earlier Police recovered throat-slit body of Gowhar Ahmad Bhat, district youth president of BJP in Shopian at Kiloora.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shopian Shri Ram said that investigation has been launched to ascertain the cause of death.
