Situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved as violence has come down a lot, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti Thursday said on Thursday.

Mehbooba made these comments after holding an hour-long meeting with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi.

According to reports Mehbooba held discussion over an appointment of interlocutor for holding dialogue with stakeholders in Jammu and Kashmir including security situation in the state and various development issues.

“A detailed discussion was also held on the Rs 80,000 Cr package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015,” she said.

The meeting was attended by chief minister, senior officials of the home ministry and the Jammu and Kashmir government.
