Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani on Monday said that killing innocents “neither serve any purpose for movement nor does it suit our ethical values.”

“Innocent killings can prove detrimental for ongoing freedom movement,” the octogenarian leader said while commenting on “civilian” killings in Tral and Arwani areas of south Kashmir.

Geelani said that “in armed confrontation between warring groups, the casualties are expected, however killing innocents neither serve any purpose for movement, nor does it suit our ethical values.”
