The sit in was led by EJAC president Qayoom Wani.

“We appeal government to crack this case as soon as possible and also urge people to not thrash innocents over allegedly being the braid choppers,” Wani said.

According to Wani braid chopping is an attack on the ‘dignity of our mothers, sisters and daughters’ and ‘is un-acceptable’.
