Srinagar: A fresh case of braid chopping happened in Nowpora area of Sopore on thursday when unidentified person sneaked into the house of Mohammad Shafi Dar and chopped hair of his wife.

Protest erupted  against braid chopping incident, which happened yesterday, in Lari Prang kangan in  ganderbal district.

Reports said that last evening that a wom an namely Insha W/O Gh. Jeelani mir R/o Lari prang kangan became the victim at her residence.

However SHO kangan Manzoor Ahmad claimed that victim  is “mentally retarded women and would have done it by herself’.
