Miscreants jumped in braid cutting, sources: ‘All angles being investigated’ Div Com

Srinagar:  ‘Miscreants’ have ‘jumped into braid cutting’ and are doing this to fuel ‘unrest and ruin the atmosphere’ of valley, top officials are telling INS, however Div Com Kashmir division claims ‘all angles are being investigated’.

Top officials, wishing anonymity, in administration disclosed to INS that ‘miscreants have jumped in these acts with nefarious designs to generate dis content among population’.

“Some miscreants want to fuel uprising,” another official said wishing not to be named.

District administrations around the valley have took a serious note of these incidents.

The braid chopping incidents have spooked off the valley with people forming night vigilante groups to nab the culprits.

“Rumor mongering has also become a problem which is hampering our work in the case,”an official disclosed.

An elderly lost his life after he was beaten by people in south Kashmir over accusation that he was a ‘braid cutter’.

Recently, a territorial army man was beaten by people over same accusation.

When contacted Divisional Commissioner Kashmir divisions Baseer Khan said all the angles of the case are being looked into.

“There are concerns and all angles of the case is being looked into. Rumor mongers, and those behind these acts will face the law. They will be brought to book,” concerned Khan said.
