Hajin:  Community health centre was closed  Hajin in bandipora district of North kashmir  on Tuesday against beating of an ambulance driver by forces .

Talking to INS the ambulance  driver (name withheld) said that an injured person during Clashes was referred to Srinagar and “I hurriedly took him to Srinagar via vijpara road as locals stopped me and asked me to change the route so that the injured will not be arrest by police,” he said.

“As i was coming back from Srinagar forces stopped me at an army camp and asked me come down. They took me to army camp and alleged that ,  you were taking militant to hospital. I told them that he was a local  of syed Mohallah, injured during  clashes with force and doctors in hospital referred him to srinagr hospital,” the driver said.

“I am bound to take patient to hospital as it is my duty,” he said.

The driver accused forces of ‘slapping him two three times’ and was later let go .

Police Officials, wishing anonymity, told INS  that ‘he was ferrying the injured in suspicious manner ,we stopped his vehicle after questioning him he was set free.’

Asked, was  he was beaten by forces, the official termed it ‘baseless allegation’.
