JKTDC with HRA pahalgam to organise Pahalgam festival from Oct 12 to 14

Srinagar: JKTDC in collobration with Hotel and Resturant association Pahalgam is organising an Pahalgam festival from 12 to 14 October 2017 at Pahalgam club.

Rashid Jehangir , Mehmeet syed, and several other folk singers will be part of the festival and enthrall the visitors.

The organisers have made elaborate arrangements for the festival which will have ethnic local cuisine, arts and crafts.

The two day festival beginning tomorrow is likely to bring together tribal and other local art and several local products like trout, kalarees, makai chot, and several other local delicacies.

JKTDC shall also be offering buffet of ethnic Kashmiri foods like hoakh syun, gogjyar, zombre thool, alle het, nadder te gaad, doad dal etc.

It may be recalled  that JKTDC had recently organised an ethnic food festival at Chashma shaahi Srinagar, which was duly  appreciated by the people, and was a big hit.

JKTDC and HRA are going to invite ‘families and tourists to Pahalgam’ for which discount, is being offered.

“JKTDC and HRA pahalgam is offering 50% discount on accommodation,” officials said.

The hoteliers of Pahalgam had recently met with  CM’s grievance cell and had requested that ‘some kind of festival should be organised in Pahalgam club for its revival and to attract more people.

JKTDC has recently established a ‘cycle hire shop for visitors’ who can hire bicycles  and enjoy cycling in Pahalgam.
