Srinagar: Joint Resistant Leadership on Thursday called for state-wide protests against “alarming and shameful” rise in incidents of braid chopping.
In a statement, the leaders including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Omar Farooq and Muhammad Yaseen Malik termed braid chopping as shameful act.
“We appeal people of Jammu, Poonch, Pirpanchal and Chinab Valley and Azad Kashmir (Pakistan administered Kashmir) to stage peaceful protest against the shameful acts,” they said in a statement issued here.
