Ganderbal:Four gamblers were arrested on Friday from a ‘gambling site raid’ in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Following a tip off police raided a place in Waskoora area. Four gamblers were arrested and a cash was recovered from the spot,” Police said..

Gamblers were arrested red handed by a police party headed by DO Shadipora Tawseef Habeeb.

Police has identified arrested as

Bashir Ahmad wani
S/O Mohd Ismail R/O Sumbal,
Javid Ahmad Sheikh S/O Gh. Mohd Sheikh
R/O Nowhatta,
Bashir Ahmad waza
S/O Gh Mohudin
R/O Sumbal,
Tariq Ahmad Wani
S/O Gh. Ahmad R/O Sumbal.
“Stake money of Rupees 8290 was recovered from the gambling site,” officials said .

Ganderbal police has registered a case FIR 189/2017 under section 13 Gambling Act and investigations has been taken up.
