Ganderbal: Fire broke out in a shop at Kangan market in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir on Monday.

The steel-cum-cement shop belonged to Nazir Ahmad Rather, near tehsil office at Kangan .

The shop was damaged completely.

Official said that timely intervention of locals and fire tenders prevented the fire from spreading to nearby shops.

Station house officer Kangan Nisar Ahmad told INS that the ’cause of fire was short circuit’.
