Srinagar: The bullet-riddled body of a 16-year-old youth was recovered by police, a day after he went missing, in Shopian district of south Kashmir on Sunday.
Reports said that the body was found by the locals in an orchard and accordingly they informed the police which later recovered it.
Later, the police identified the body that of Gowhar Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rahim Dar, a resident of Urpara Nagbal area of the district.
According to the police, Dar was missing from Saturday evening and “perhaps he was kidnapped by militants.”  Police has registered a case and started investigation.
