Untrained Teacher May Lose Job If They Do Not Register For Training: Altaf Bukhari

Srinagar: ‘Untrained teachers’ may lose their jobs by if they do not register themselves for the training programs made mandatory for all untrained teachers said Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari.

Bukhari was addressing during a function at Minto Circle Higher Secondary School, Srinagar.

Bukhari while urging untrained teachers to get registered for the training programs said that those who did not enroll for the training program “will lose their job by March 2019.”

“The under-graduate and graduate teachers have to register themselves on the web portal of National Institute of Open Schooling where they can get the course learning free of cost. The study material will be available on the web portal. However they need to pay Rs 6,000 as exam fee which will be held in June 2018 and the final exam in March-April 2019,” Bukhari said.

“Private Schools have played a great role in imparting education in cities, now they need to move towards far flung areas to cater to the educational needs there,”Bukhari said that while adding that  his role is to defend and represent the interests of the students.
