Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) on Monday while reacting to the statement of Union Minister Jatinder Singh, wherein he has said that Modi government has ‘‘clarity and conviction ‘’ in its approach towards the Kashmir issue, said that repressive and obstinate means won’t help, instead will prove counterproductive.
People are mature enough to understand follies, said Hurriyat (G) and added that puppet regimes in past tried their best to erode freedom sentiments, but failed and even all these repressive steps will prove a failure in future too.
New Delhi and their henchmen in state resorted to character assassination of pro-freedom camp and gagging the genuine voices, said Hurriyat and added that it will bring only shame for these elements.
Unless India, fulfills the commitment made by its first prime minister, Jawaher Lal Nehru and stop its repressive approach against people in state, there are no chances to evolve normal situation, instead it will aggravate more with each passing day, said Hurriyat (G) in a statement to KNS.
Blaming PDP led regime for facilitating bloodshed in state, Hurriyat said that those parroting about bringing peace & normalcy, are virtually responsible for current appalling situations in state.
Referring to current awful situations, Hurriyat said that since last year hundreds of innocents were mercilessly killed by present regime and its forces.
Referring to those arrested by NIA, Hurriyat said that it is a ploy to implicate them in fake and fabricated cases and main motive of new Delhi is to defame leadership through its biased media.
India government has failed in Kashmir, thus resorted to media trail and it is just to malign freedom movement and a misinformation campaign to mislead international community, said Hurriyat.
They are desperate to bring bad name to resistance movement and that is the reason they are floating concocted stories to portray it as a so called ‘’ money laundering and terror funding. ‘’added Hurriyat.
Hurriyat Conference (G) , while criticizing international community for their silence, said that it is pain giving and quite heartening that they despite witnessing the heartless role of Indian authorities and NIA, are watching as mute spectators.
Hurriyat (G) while lashing at authorities in New Delhi, said that they through its agencies like NIA have waged war against people in state and its consequences are obvious, said Hurriyat (G).
Meanwhile Hurriyat Conference in its statement strongly condemned NIA raids on residence of Advocate Devender Singh Bahal and harassment of his family members during search operations. (KNS)
