Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) strongly condemned firing upon protestors in Saderkoot Bandipora by the forces in which three people have been critically injured and imposition of curfew and restrictions in old town of Baramulla.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hurriyat (M) said use of military might is the only way Government chooses to deal with the sentiment and political aspirations of people of Kashmir.
Paying tributes to Abid Hamid Mir, Javeed Ahmad Dar and another youth who were martyred at Amargarh Sopore by the government forces, Hurriyat (M) said our youth have been pushed to the wall to resist occupation and are getting martyred in their quest for justice and resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
Hurriyat Conference (M) said that repeatedly schools colleges and universities are being closed by the authorities as a policy to contain student agitation against oppression causing great loss to the students.
Hurriyat (M) said last year great deal of concern was shown by the authorities regarding the education of Kashmiri students. But since early this year educational institutions are repeatedly shut down by them. Does it not matter now Hurriyat (M) asked.
Hurriyat Conference (M) said another way to contain the situation is blocking internet services randomly and repeatedly. APHC said despite such severe repression and curbs people of Kashmir are coming out on the streets to register their protest against oppression and killings and resistance to occupation.
Hurriyat (M) said it is ridiculous propaganda that anyone gets paid for protesting. People protest because there is severe repression and suppression in every form and our youth and civilians are killed mercilessly by the Indian forces.
Hurriyat Conference (M) said that unless the basic cause of this problem that is resolution of Kashmir issue is addressed resistance to repression and for justice will manifest itself in one way or other but will not die out as some believe such tactics can achieve. (KNS)
