Srinagar: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has exhorted her legislators to reach out to people to reconnect the party at the grass roots and resolve their grievances.
Addressing a meeting of the legislators and district presidents on Wednesday evening at her Gupkar residence, she thanked them for mobilizing the public for the foundation day rally but asked them to show more responsiveness to the peoples urges and aspirations at the grass roots.
According to KNS, stressing for the full scale revival of the party after the last years unrest she urged the legislators to be in close touch with the ministers for the immediate redressal of the grievances of the people and assured that she would impress upon the ministers to take care of the workers at every level to help revive the party at the grass roots.
To the utter surprise of the meeting two sitting MLAs complained that they were not allowed to sit on the dias to show their representation at the Foundation day rally on July 29. PDP President Mehbooba Mufti told both the MLAs that due to space constraints they were not able to come on the dias and in future she won’t allow such incidents to occur. (KNS)
