Abdul Haq inaugurates CMs Model Higher Secondary School, Public Park at Lalpora

KUPWARA: The present government is concerned to resolve the issues of the people and efforts are afoot to provide required basic facilities to the people especially living in the remote areas. Every possible step is being taken to mitigate the problems of the people and government is committed for the equitable development of all three region of the state.
This was stated by the Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Law & Justice Abdul Haq Khan during his extensive tour to Lolab constituency.
District Development Commissioner Kupwara Khalid Jahangir, SSP Kupwara Shamsheer Hussain and senior officers of RDD and Education department were present on the occasion.
At Lalpora, the Minister inaugurated Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Memorial Public Park completed at the cost of Rs 8 lakhs and Chief Minister’s Model HSS at Lalpora which is adopted by the Minister. The school has been developed on modern lines with required facilities for the students.
Earlier the minister was welcomed by the people who had assembled on roadside and garlanded the minister besides showering flower petals and singing folk songs.
Speaking during a the rally attended by a large number of people at Lalpora, the Minister said that the centre government has provided Rs 80 thousand crores for developmental activities in the state and various developmental projects are underway in the state which include a network of roads and tunnels.
He further said that Rs 36 crore are being spent on construction, repairs and renovation of road projects in the Loab valley while Rs 300 crore are being utilized under RDD schemes in the area. The Minister reiterated that the present government is committed for the overall development of the people and various steps have been already taken in this regard.
Abdul Haq said that Sogam-Bandipora road connectivity is under consideration of government, Machil roads have been improved and all ongoing projects would be soon completed and dedicated to the people. He assured the people that the infrastructure development is the top priority of the government and efforts are on to improve the socio-economic profile of the people of Lolab constituency.
The Minister said that CD Block, ITI, Tehsil office, Irrigation Water Reservoirs are some of the great achievements in Lalpora and many other ongoing developmental projects would help in bringing positive change on ground.
On the occasion, people of the area also put forth their demands. The Minister after listening them assured that their issues will be resolved and genuine demands will be looked into.
