Anantnag: People’s Democratic Party workers exchanged blows and hit one another freely during a workers meeting in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Reports said that PDP workers meeting was called by party’s Anantnag District President Advocate Javaid Ahmed Sheikh here at Party’s Head Quarters at Housing Colony Khanabal.
Some of the workers during the meeting raised the question of appointing party workers kiths and kins in the government departments while another group complained that only influential workers get a share in these departments.
“First the workers argued with one another and then they exchanged blows and flung chairs in the air. The brawl between the workers created panic in the Hall while some workers were seen raising anti-party slogans,” the witnesses told CNS.
Reports added that few workers sustained injuries. (CNS)
