Srinagar: Expressing deep grief over the killing of a youth Tanveer Ahmad of Beerwah, Budgam, by occupational forces, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) on Saturday reiterated its appeal to the world community and United Nations to take notice of India’s state-sponsored oppression in Kashmir.
Tanveer was killed and several others injured when forces indiscriminately fired upon people in Beerwah who were protesting against the forces’ atrocities on Friday.
On Shah’s directions, a delegation led by Ghulam Muhammad Maqdam which included Abdul Rasheed, Muhammad Altaf, and others visited Shaheed Tanveer’s residence to express condolence with the bereaved family.
Shah also talked to bereaved family over phone and said India is hell bent on suppressing our freedom movement by resorting to military might but is destined to get failed.
He said Kashmir is a political issue and needs to be resolved politically. He paid tributes to all martyrs and said our movement will reach its destination. (KNS)
