Workshop on GST held at Srinagar

SRINAGAR: An orientation cum workshop on Goods and Services Tax (GST) was held today here at the Divisional Commissioner’s office.
Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Additional Commissioner Commercial Taxes, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Deputy Director Planning and other concerned officers attended the workshop whereas other Deputy Commissioners of Valley districts participated in the camp through video conferencing.
Additional Commissioner Commercial taxes informed that till July 15, 2017 a total number of 71,518 provisional Ids of GST were generated out of which 30,787 were activated and rest of the process will be completed by ending July this year.
He further informed that teams will be deployed in all districts of the Kashmir Division including Leh and Kargil which shall provide training to all concerned officers about various aspects of the GST.
During this workshop, Deputy Commissioners spoke about the new tax regimes implementation in their respective districts.
