Elderly man wounded in Army firing succumbs at Srinagar hospital

Srinagar: South Kashmir’s elderly man who was critically injured in Army firing on Monday succumbed to his injuries in Srinagar hospital on Tuesday.
Muhammad Abdullah Ganaie, 60, a resudebt if Hussanpora was injured after army opened fire on protesters following an argument in Goriwan area yesterday.
Ganaie was shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital Barzulla where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment.
“He breathed his last around 5pm at SKIMS Soura,” said the official.
Meanwhile, protests erupted in Arwani as the news of his death spread in the area. (CNS)
