CS reviews progress of Rakh-i-Arth project for Dal dwellers

Srinagar: Chief Secretary, B B Vyas Saturday chaired a meeting here to deliberate upon the submission of business proposals for the construction of dwelling units atRakh-i-Arth under the PPP mode for the rehabilitation of Dal dwellers.
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Commissioner Secretary, H&UD, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, MD, JKPCC, MD, J&K Housing Board, MD, Police Housing Corporation, VC SDA/LAWDA attended the meeting.
At present, under Phase –I, 3000 Kanal of land is being developed by LAWDA at Rakh-i-Arth along with sewerage and drainage facilities including 7.5 MLD STP for as many as 4600 plots to be developed.
Similarly, under Phase II and III, a modern residential colony over 7332 flats at Rakh-i-Arth for Dal dwellers is to be developed under PPP Mode, the land for which has already been handed over to LAWDA.
The Residential colony shall also have facilities like hospital, play ground, schools and shopping complex etc. (KNS)
