SRINAGAR: Dr. Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi, Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Dr. Andrabi informed the Governor about the functioning of the University and the present position regarding admissions, including those in the offsite campuses of the University. The two discussed certain important matters relating to making up of academic time lost in 2016-17.
The Governor stressed the importance of ensuring against any deviation from the norm, among the Faculty and the students, which vitiates the academic environment of the Campus and results in eroding the teaching and research programmes. He re-iterated his concern about strict adherence to discipline and academic accountability and the need for teachers to remain closely connected with youth and guide them effectively.
