Ensure cleanliness in Badamibagh Cantonment area: Asiea Naqash

SRINAGAR: Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development, Health, Medical Education and Social Welfare, Asiea Naqash today stressed on proper waste management disposal and sanitation of Badamibagh cantonment area.
The Minister was speaking at a meeting attended by Chief Executive Officer (Commanding Officer Badamibagh cantonment) Kapil Goyal and Senior officials of SMC.
During the meeting, Ms Naqash sought details about the ongoing works on the drain projects in the area.
The Minister took exception regarding reports of garbage lying on the road which is causing problem to the people.
Calling to expedite the work, Ms Naqash urged CEO to ensure cleanliness in the area and form special teams of senior officials who can check the sanitation work of lower staff.
The Minister setup a deadline of 15 days for ensuring waste is removed from the drains so that people don’t face inundated roads and alleys during heavy rains.
Engineers and Municipality officials, who were also present in the meeting, were also asked to employ men and machinery regularly for maintaining cleanliness in and around hospital.
