Business community and civil societies have their role to find solution regarding implementation of GST: Geelani

Srinagar: Syed Ali Geelani on Saturday said that Kashmir issue & other interrelated problems are quite different issues with differing background. Clarifying his stance about implementation of GST in state, Syed Ali Geelani said that besides Kashmir issue we are facing various other problems, however business community and civil societies have their role to find solution regarding implementation of GST and sort out the problems relating to their business they face and added that they need to find ways and means to explore solution to these complex situations.
However, it is very important to take extreme care that in no case, it should not change the discourse of our resistance movement and alter the status of Kashmir issue, added Geelani.
We are facing numerous such problems and Kashmir issue is the root cause of all issue including discrimination, injustice and many more complex situations, said Geelani and political uncertainty in region will continue to loom if the resolution of Kashmir is delayed and acceptable resolution to the issue is not sorted out.
It is as such suggested and it is wise to concentrate on core issue related to Kashmir and avoid any such measures or step that may alter the discourse or hinder its resolution.
Geelani while referring to historical background of Kashmir issue said, that state of Jammu Kashmir enjoyed a special status, however National Conference & other mainstream parties reduced it to mere zero and as of now this mere skeleton need last rites for its burial.
Geelani while referring to Indra Abdullah accord documented in 1975, said that this agreement proved a last nail in the coffin of special status of state and Sheikh dynasty once for all gave up its rhetoric about much hyped plebiscite slogan and stance.
It is rehearsal for their come back to power corridores, said Geelani while ridiculing National Conference for their fraudulent politics, and added that the hue and cry by NC cadre is just a drama and mere political stunt.
Business community and civil societies should consider the conspiracies and resist every such move but be vigilant while dealing these issues, added Geelani.
It is sensible that we need to be extra cautious while dealing such issues related to their business and let us be cautious that Kashmir issue, massacres and other complex issues are not marginalized or sidelined while dealing with situations resulted out of proposed implementation of GST, added Geelani.
The peaceful resolution to all our complex problems are in resolution of Kashmir issue and our joint efforts are required for the resolution of Kashmir tangle, said Geelani.(GNS)
