Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) strongly condemned the continuous house detention of its Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who has been prevented to carry out his social and religious activities in the holy month of Ramdhan, stating that the move reflects utter frustration on part of the State administration.
The spokesman said that Mirwaiz in connection with Ramadan was supposed to deliver a sermon at Masjid-e-Rehmat Lalbazar, Srinagar where people were eagerly waiting and had to return disappointed.
The spokesman also denounced the imposition of continuous curfew and harassment of local population in South Kashmir.
The spokesman also condemned the killing of a civilian Aijaz Ahmed Malik of Pulwama at the hands of unknown gunmen. (KNS)
