Srinagar: Strongly criticizing NIA for summoning Altaf Ahmad Shah (secretary public relation) to Delhi for interrogation, Syed Ali Geelani on Sunday said called it sheer vengeance. Altaf Ahmad and other party activists are unnecessarily being harassed by NIA sleuths, said Geelani.
It is just a tool to dent leadership so that they surrender and stop voicing the sentiments of their nation, added Geelani.
Altaf Shah, since past 35 years is active in politics and his all activities are transparent and open, said Geelani and added that however the policy makers in Delhi are intimidating political workers on one pretext or the other.
It is illogical and unjustified, said Geelani and added that NIA is being used as a war weapon against political workers.
Since year 2002, fabricated cases are being filed against me, colleagues and my close relatives, said Syed Ali Geelani and added however all these senseless efforts proved useless and futile.
Referring to NIA raids, Syed Ali Geelani said that all these state sponsored tactics and coercive measures won’t deter us from pursuing our mission, nor these coercions, suppressive and aggressive will deter us from pursuing our mission.
He asked Indian authorities to shun this uncivilized and egoistic approach. Implicating political workers in fabricated cases won’t help you nor we will surrender, said Geelani and suggested Indian authorities to adopt a realistic approach and accept hard realities about Kashmir issue. (KNS)
