Div Com convenes civil society meeting

SRINAGAR, JUNE 01: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today convened a meeting to discuss societal and developmental issues with members of civil society and officers of the civil administration.
The meeting was attended by concerned officers of civil
administration, Farooq Renzu Shah Chairman Kashmir Society and representatives of other prominent NGOs.
Representative of Kashmir Society apprised the Divisional Commissioner about different issues and concerns related to Heritage development, local craft, youth activities, and drug de-addiction.
The Div Com instructed the officers to resolve the genuine issues on priority to develop confidence among common masses as far as the service delivery system is concerned.
On the occasion, Khan said that there should be public-private partnership to provide boost to social and cultural activities, which will go a long way in upliftment of our society especially youth.
He further said that peace and harmony are key ingredients for the development of the society. He said the people should come forward and cooperate with the administration to eradicate social evils from our society.
