Nine F&ES employees suspended in Baramulla

Srinagar: Nine employees of Fire and Emergency Services in Baramulla district have been suspended for being absent from their duty during working hours, breaching discipline and being negligent in their duty.
As per order No. DF&ES -297 of 2017, dated 27 May 2017, of the 17 employees posted at F&ES in Baramulla district Headquarters, the nine employees were found absent on May 27.
“The officials were found absent from duty without any proper permission….And as per rules of the department, the officials have committed an offence against discipline, being guilty of disobedience orders, neglect of duty by leaving their station/place of duty and absence from duty without reasonable cause and absence from Roll Call,” reads the order issued by the Director Fire and Emergency Services, J&K, R K Hak. A copy of the order lies with KNS.
The suspended employees include Sub Officer (Incharge Station) Baramulla, Irshad Ahmad Shah, Abdul Hamid, Jang Bahadur Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Bashir Ahmad, Firdous Ahmad, Abdul Qayoom, Mushtaq Ahmad and Mohammad Akbar.
“…these officials were duty bound to remain available and to hold themselves in readiness for any duty at any time and to e responsible for the efficient working of the Fire and Emergency Station Baramulla and had to ensure prompt attendance at the station,” the order says.
The suspended officials have been directed to deposit their uniform articles in Command Stores Sopore and shall report to the F&ES Headquarters Srinagar for “facing enquiry”.
The director has ordered any inquiry to be conducted into the matter by Deputy Director F&ES, Command Srinagar, M A Dar within a period of four weeks and submit “his findings for appropriate action”. (KNS)
