DDC Srinagar inspects progress of work at SPS library, museum

SRINAGAR: District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, today visited SPS library and museum here to take stock of ongoing work on the two prestigious projects.
Officers of Directorate of Archeology, Archives & Museums, Police Housing Corporation, JKPCC and other concerned accompanied the DDC.
While inspecting the work at SPS Library, the DDC directed the officials of executing agency JKPCC to complete the project in all respects before the end of the calendar year 2017.
He expressed satisfaction over the pace of the work and stressed on completion of remaining work on the basis of PERT Chart which shall be furnished to the Office of DDC Srinagar.
While inspecting progress of work at the SPS Museum, it was said that first phase of work has almost been completed and the DDC was informed that remaining portion of the first phase shall be completed by the June 20.
On the occasion, the officers of Directorate of the Archeology, Archives and Museums were directed to authorize the Police Housing Corporation for resuming the second phase of the work immediately so that the work is completed in a time-bound manner.
