Asiea reviews progress of SMC works

SRINAGAR: Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development, Asiea Naqash, today convened a meeting here to review progress of various developmental activities carried out by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
The meeting was attended by SMC Commissioner Dr Shafqat Ahmed Khan, officials of SMC & UEED and other concerned.
It was given out that in the year 2016-2017, as many as 60 works were executed by the SMC under internal resources at the estimated cost of Rs 3.42 Crore. Besides, 10 works have been completed under CCD at the cost of Rs 25 lakh.
On the occasion, the Minister directed the officials to ensure all street lights function properly in the City, and take measures to improve sanitation in view of upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
She directed the officials to start work on already approved community halls at Umarhaer, Hazratbal and Batpora. She asked the officers to complete them at the earliest for the convenience of the people.
