SRINAGAR: Various delegations comprising of Finance Ministers of multiple states, senior union officials and representatives from national media yesterday visited Gulmarg on the sidelines of 14th GST council meet.
The delegations appreciated the arrangements made by the state government for the GST council meet and expressed thanks for the opportunity accorded to them to visit the state and experience it’s magnificent Vistas.
The Delegates expressing the sentiment of awe on experiencing this grandeur of the state said that successful culmination of GST Council Meet hosted at Srinagar will help dispel and clear out any negative sentiment and inhibitions people might still have towards the situation in Valley.
They expressed hope that the valley will see a fruitful tourist season.
As part of the visit, the delegations visited Gulmarg and took the Gandola ride to Kungdoor and Aparwath teaching altitudes upwards of 13,000 feet. The delegations enjoyed the snow at Aparwath and experienced the snow covered mountains.
The media fraternity from the National capital expressed thanks to the Department of Information and Public Relations for their cooperation and support, not only during the meet but also for the hospitality accorded to them at Srinagar and Gulmarg.
