Srinagar: Condemning the detention of Hurriyat leaders, activists & placing curbs on the movement of the people on the death anniversaries of Shaheed Molvi Mohammad Farooq & Shaheed Kh Ab Gani Lone, Syed Ali Geelani termed it worst kind of state sponsored terrorism.
They are playing with fire, said Syed Ali Geelani while lashing at administration for laying unjustified restrictions and curbs on peaceful political activities.
The situations in state are turning from bad to worse, said Geelani and while criticizing BJP and PDP led coalition, said that their brute approach towards resistance camp has evolved an explosive and appalling situation in state.
In a statement issued to KNS, commenting on the “submissive approach of PDP for securing favors from Delhi, Geelani said that they have virtually handed over reigns to Jan Sangh cadre and following their dictates with their eyes folded.
Terming them as pawns, Geelani said that It is martial law like situation and their rhetoric for “battle of ideas & dialogue not bullets’’ proved mere hoax.
Geelani lamented administration for their autocratic rule and warned of dire consequences if such brutalities and curbs on peaceful are not stopped.
Disallowing people to commemorate their martyrs is unethical, said Geelani and people will be left with no alternative other than to take issue in their hands and resent through all possible means.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat Conference (G) strongly criticized & chided authorities for slapping one more PSA on Ab Gani Bhat(Sopor) Ab Rashid Bhat (Bomay) Mashhoq Ahmad Bhat (Goni pora) Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir (Bahram pora), and Meraj u Din Naikoo(Seelo). All the detainees soon after slapping PSA were shifted to Kotbhalwal, said Hurriyat.
Slamming authorities, Hurriyat said that this black law is being slapped on political opponents and Baramulla authorities while misusing the draconian law has surpassed all previous records.
Hurriyat (G) said that all these activists were arrested during last year’s people’s uprising and lodged in Jammu. Their cases were followed and legal procedure was followed in court and were bailed out, however were rearrested by police and lodged in police stations, said Hurriyat. During this period, they were bailed out from all fabricated cases, however police authorities booked them under frivolous charges, slapped PSA and again shifted to Kotbhalwal, Hurriyat said.
Spokesman termed it extreme lawlessness and while lashing at state authorities, said that it is unjustified and unethical. They have virtually turned state into a police garrison added he.
Criticizing police authorities for their highhandedness against peaceful citizens and political activists, spokesman said that they are trampling all fundamental rights and have no regard for human values.
Strongly criticizing Baramulla police administration, spokesman said that a sick minded officer is leading the department and he has surpassed all records while dealing with detainees.
Hurriyat Conference (G) demanded immediate release of all detainees and said that bullying or resorting to repressive measures won’t help authorities and it will not change the discourse of Kashmir issue.
