SRINAGAR: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of senior PDP leader and former legislator, Shanti Devi who passed away at Jammu today.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister recalled the contribution of Shanti Devi in building the party cadre in the State and giving a voice to women in the developmental process.
The Chief Minister said during her tenure as Member of Legislative Assembly, Shanti Devi raised and fought for issues of critical importance in public life besides the general issues of women and children.
Mehbooba Mufti has conveyed her heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family of Shanti Devi and prayed for eternal solace to her soul.
