FCS&CA prepares transfer list of ASKs, SKs

SRINAGAR: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Choudhary Zulfkar Ali, today directed the officers of the Department to effect transfers of assistant store keepers (ASKs), and store keepers (SKs) in a fair and transparent manner, and prepare a uniform prototype for the recruitment of Class-IV employees.
Speaking at a review meeting of FCS&CA held under his chairmanship, the Minister said that transfers of field level functionaries up to ASKs and SKs who have a stay of two years at one particular place should be transferred from that place. He asked the officers that there should be no favoritism during the process so that the purpose of transfers is served in its true essence.
The Minister was briefed that the Department is presently finalizing the transfer list of ASKs and SKs and soon the transfers would be executed in a free and fair manner.
For the recruitment of Class-IV employees in the department, Zulfkar directed to prepare a prototype advertisement for entire state. Stressing to complete the prototype by July 15 this year he said such a system would help in maintaining uniformity during the recruitment process.
He also impressed upon officers to ensure that food grains are lifted and distributed in a timely manner so that consumers would not have to face any kind of difficulty.
Expressing satisfaction over the work carried out by the Department in the recent past, he said the perception of FCS&CA Department is gradually improving. He added that still lot more needs to be done in this regard for which everyone from the Department has to work hard.
Directing the officers to finalize Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) list, the Minister said that list should be re-verified by concerned MLA, signed by Vigilance Monitoring Committees (VMC), and submitted by next fortnight to the directorate office. He added the list should afterwards be uploaded on transparency portal.
He also instructed for installing information boards outside all food stores with all necessary information including rates and the amount of food grains to be distributed among the consumers.
He also directed Food Corporation India (FCI) officers to ensure that quality of food grains is maintained and finalize the Letipora hamal issue. Besides, the Corporation was also asked to finalize ‘Hill Transport Subsidy’ issue at an earliest.
Secretary, FCS&CA Shafiq Raina, Director, FCS&CA Kashmir Nissar Ahmad Wani, Director, FCS&CA Jammu R A Inqalibi, General Manager, FCI Kishore Kumar, and Assistant Directors from all the Kashmir districts were also present in the meeting.
