Emergency laws implemented in Kashmir: Nayeem Khan

Srinagar: After banning social media, terming the banning of 34 TV channels as evidence that India has lost at the hands of Kashmiri people, senior Hurriyat leader and Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan today said that so called rulers are implementing laws on daily basis which only prevail during emergency. He said that world must know that what is going on in the disputed territory is a new form of emergency.
In a statement issued to KNS, Nayeem Khan said that first suspending social media and now banning of TV channels is a clear indication that New Delhi and its local collaborators are cooking some nefarious designs against Kashmiri people. They have something wicked in their minds for which they are making preparations so that the voices are stopped and limited to the disputed territory and their evil deeds do not reach to the world.
He said that the men in uniform have spread a reign of terror in nook and corner of the disputed region and Indian forces have practically taken the whole population as hostage. Forces personnel have been directed in a way that they consider themselves in an enemy’s area so they believe their every action was a great service to their nation. “This attitude of police and Indian forces if left unchecked will trigger a situation which cannot be controlled by India or its local stooges,” Nayeem Khan warned and added that New Delhi has to change its attitude otherwise circumstances would lead to a larger disaster.
Strongly condemning the detention of several students, Nayeem Khan said that student community has been pushed to wall so they see protests as their last substitute. He said that enough is enough and if the attitude of the Indian political leadership and the Indian collaborators at local level is not changed more disaster will follow. Kashmiri people have pledged time and again that they will never surrender before the Indian military might. So it is better for New Delhi to adopt a political way so that the Kashmir dispute is resolved politically.
Nayeem Khan paid rich and glowing tributes to Fayaz Ahmad of Qaimoh Kulgam who achieved at Mirbazar. He said that each and every human loss is the result of Indian stubborn attitude so it is New Delhi which has to initiate a resolution process of the long pending Kashmir dispute. (KNS)
